The Creation The creation by Hesiod’s tells about the creation of the world and the birth of Gods. It says that all was started with the emptiness which is called “Chaos”. There was no world, sky, etc. Chaos, then, created Nyx (night), and together they gave birth to Erebus (Darkness). The what happened next was they married to one another generation by generation. So, Erebus together with Nyx which was her mother, had their childreen, Aether(bright sky) and Hemera (the day). They also ended up together and had Gaia (earth),Tartarus (Hell) , Pontus (Sea) , Eros (Love). Now we can see that, the realm was eventually filled. Without male, Gaia also ended up having kid named Uranus (starry sky), which then became her husband, and produced around 12 titants, one-eyed Cyclopes, the three Hundred-Handed Hecatoncheires. But, Uranus grew as a bad husband and treated his children very bad. He even hid Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires in Gaia’s womb. For that, Gaia planned ...
